Week One: Addison in Germany!

Well it seems like a life time ago since my last blog post at the beginning of December! Here is the first instalment:

I was getting pretty excited by this point as Addison was arriving that Thursday and I was looking forward to seeing him and showing him around my new home and the rest of Europe. Unfortunately on the Wednesday before he arrived I was hit by a car on my bike on my way to school, but after a trip in the ambulance and a X-ray they confirmed I hadn't broken anything so I limped out of the hospital with just a badly bruised ankle.

The next day Addison arrived! As he was in the air when I was hit he wasn't aware until he arrived, but I also had another surprise for him! I had cut off my precious long locks. (which he didn't even notice at first!)

In the first few days as Addison got adjusted to not only the time difference but the temperature difference I showed him firstly around Mainz and also Weisbaden and Frankfurt (two cities close to Mainz)

In Mainz we visited the old part/streets, the Gutenberg Museum and the Rhein.

In Weisbaden we visited the Kurshaus, which also contains a casino, the Christmas Market and while we were there as well Addison joined the other assistants to see The Hobbit 2.

In Frankfurt we visited another Christmas Market and also the Dom and the main shopping street which has this amazing inverted glass cylinder building.
